Privacy Policy

What VeloxCalc processes, what stays in your browser, and how market data is cached.

1. Information We Collect

VeloxCalc does not require you to create an account or sign in. You can use the calculators without submitting personal information to us.

Calculator inputs are processed directly in your browser. We do not transmit or store your calculation data on our own servers.

Like most websites, we rely on third-party infrastructure to deliver pages and data. Those providers may process limited technical information (such as your IP address and request metadata), as described below.

2. Calculations and Files Stay in Your Browser

Every calculation runs on your device. The values you type into a calculator are not sent to us, and we have no way to read them.

The file converters (PDF, JPEG and PNG) also work entirely on your device. Your files are read, converted and saved locally, and are never uploaded to our servers.

3. Appearance and Browser Storage

VeloxCalc does not save any preferences in your browser. The light or dark appearance follows your device's display setting automatically and is not stored on our side.

You can change the appearance at any time in your device settings. There is no stored preference of ours that you would need to clear.

4. Cookies, Advertising and Analytics

We do not set cookies, and we do not include advertising, tracking or analytics scripts in the pages you load.

Because there is no tracking to consent to, there is no consent banner and nothing to opt out of. The calculators work the same whatever you clear in your browser.

5. Hosting and Infrastructure

VeloxCalc runs on third-party hosting and content-delivery (CDN) infrastructure. To serve pages, handle requests securely, and keep the service running, these providers may process technical data such as IP addresses, request headers, and timestamps. Their own privacy policies govern that processing.

A scheduled background job refreshes pricing data roughly every four hours. This job runs between our infrastructure and external data providers and is not linked to individual visitors.

6. Third-Party Data Providers

Currency, cryptocurrency, and precious metals values come from third-party market-data providers and are cached in our database. Requests to these providers are made by our infrastructure, not by your browser, so they do not include your personal data.

Our database provider, Supabase, stores only market data (prices and update timestamps) for caching. It does not store personal data related to your use of the calculators.

7. Data Retention and Security

Cached market data is overwritten each time it is refreshed, approximately every four hours. Because we do not receive your calculator inputs or your files, there is no calculation data for us to retain.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Where third-party providers process technical or log data on our behalf, retention periods are determined by those providers.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of personal data, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Because VeloxCalc does not offer user accounts and processes calculator inputs only in your browser, we generally do not hold personal data about you. Where we can, we will help you exercise your rights.

To make a request, please use the Contact page.

9. Data Controller and Contact

The controller responsible for data processing is identified in the Impressum. Contact details are available on the Contact page.

Some of the processing described above is carried out by third-party infrastructure and data providers under their own responsibility.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the service, our infrastructure, or applicable requirements. The current version is always available on this page.

We encourage you to review this page periodically.
