Turn a JPEG Photo Into a PDF

This converter places your JPEG on a PDF page. Choose an image, decide on the page format and the margins, and the document is built in your browser — the picture is never uploaded.

What You Get

  • A single PDF page containing your JPEG, ready to download.
  • A choice of page format: A4, US Letter or a page that follows the picture.
  • The original image quality, because the JPEG is embedded as it is instead of being re-compressed.

How to Convert

  1. Drop your JPEG onto the upload area or choose it from your device.
  2. Pick a page size and a margin (see below).
  3. Start the conversion and wait for the PDF to be assembled.
  4. Download your document.

Page Size, Margins and Image Quality

Two settings decide where your photo sits on the sheet.

Page Size

A4 is the common format outside North America, while US Letter is the standard in the United States and Canada. Both put the image on a sheet of fixed dimensions and scale the picture so it fits inside the printable area without stretching it. The "Image size" option instead makes the page exactly as large as the picture, which is handy when you want a borderless PDF that preserves the photo's own proportions.

Margins and Quality

The margin is the white space between the picture and the edge of the page. "No margin" fills the sheet as far as the picture allows, while the small and large options add a comfortable border that looks right for printing. Because JPEG is already compressed, the converter embeds the file directly as a JPEG stream inside the PDF rather than decoding and re-encoding it: the photo keeps its exact quality and the document stays small.

Why the Conversion Happens in Your Browser

The image is read with the File API and the PDF structure is written in memory by this page. Nothing is sent to a server, and the document disappears as soon as you reset the tool or close the tab. The tool also works offline once it has loaded.

About Your File

A JPEG carries no transparency, so the sheet behind it is simply white. The converter accepts files up to 50 MB; if your photo is larger, resize it first, since embedding a very large picture produces a heavy PDF.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does converting lower the quality of my photo?

No. The JPEG is copied into the PDF byte for byte, so no additional compression is applied and the picture is identical to the original.

Can I add more than one image?

This tool is made for a single photo. To combine several pictures into one document, use the "Images to PDF" converter, which accepts both JPEG and PNG.

Where is my image stored?

Nowhere. The file is processed only in your browser's memory and is never uploaded or kept anywhere.
