Turn a PNG Image Into a PDF
This converter places your PNG image on a PDF page. Choose a file, decide on the page format and the margins, and the document is built in your browser — the image is never uploaded.
What You Get
- A single PDF page containing your PNG, ready to download.
- A choice of page format: A4, US Letter or a page that follows the image.
- Sharp results, because the picture is embedded losslessly at its full resolution.
How to Convert
- Drop your PNG onto the upload area or choose it from your device.
- Pick a page size and a margin (see below).
- Start the conversion and wait for the PDF to be assembled.
- Download your document.
Page Size, Margins and Transparency
Two settings decide where your image sits on the sheet.
Page Size
A4 is the common format outside North America, while US Letter is the standard in the United States and Canada. Both put the image on a sheet of fixed dimensions and scale the picture so it fits inside the printable area without stretching it. The "Image size" option instead makes the page exactly as large as the picture, which is handy when you want a borderless PDF that preserves the image's own proportions.
Margins and Transparency
The margin is the white space between the picture and the edge of the page. "No margin" fills the sheet as far as the image allows, while the small and large options add a comfortable border that looks right for printing. PNG supports transparency, and because a PDF page has no transparent background, any see-through areas are placed on a plain white sheet — which is exactly what most printers expect.
Why the Conversion Happens in Your Browser
The image is read with the File API and the PDF structure is written in memory by this page. Nothing is sent to a server, and the document disappears as soon as you reset the tool or close the tab. The tool also works offline once it has loaded.
About Your File
PNG is a lossless format, so the picture keeps its full detail. That also means a PNG can be considerably larger than the same photo saved as JPEG; the converter accepts files up to 50 MB and embeds them without re-compressing, so a very big image produces a heavier PDF.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does converting lower the quality of my image?
No. The PNG is embedded losslessly, so the picture keeps its exact pixels and no compression artefacts are introduced.
Can I add more than one image?
This tool is made for a single image. To combine several pictures into one document, use the "Images to PDF" converter, which accepts both JPEG and PNG.
Where is my image stored?
Nowhere. The file is processed only in your browser's memory and is never uploaded or kept anywhere.
